Metropole Market Place

		Your trip to Catalina Island will not be completed without a visit to the charming Metropole Market Place. Enjoy a stroll through the lively French Quarter atmosphere of cobblestone walkways and cooling fountains. In the fascinating collection of boutiques you'll find unique gifts, fine art, colorful T-shirts, sportswear, children's wear, exquisite jewelry, fresh baked goods and an espresso bar. Hungry? Experience the fine cuisine and panoramic views of one of our two ocean-view restaurants. The award-winning Channel House serves fresh local seafood and continental cuisine, while the Blue Parrot offers more casual fare and nightly live entertainment. Catalina Island Museum

		Located on the ground floor of the Casino Building in Avalon, the Catalina Island Museum explores the Island's rich cultural heritage. Permanent exhibits illustrate unique elements of Catalina's history including its evolution as a resort community, its role as the Chicago Cubs Spring Training venue, its links to Hollywood, and its prominence in the decorative tile and pottery industry. Docent led, tile walking tours are offered at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays (reservations required). The Museum is open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. seven days a week (closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day).
