16th Annual Shop at Home Night on Catalina Island
Article dated: Thursday, December 03, 2009

The 16th Annual Shop At Home Night is on Sunday, December 6th, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.  It's a merry way to get into the holiday spirit, enter to win prizes, enjoy the yuletide entertainment, and have a fun money-saving evening of holiday shopping, while supporting the community.

Shop At Home Night kicks off with a tree lighting ceremony on the Wrigley Stage on the waterfront in Avalon.  The lighting will occur promptly at 5:00pm on Sunday.  Wayne Griffin will serve as Master of Ceremonies and shoppers can gather around to watch the festivities as Santa arrives by Fire Truck.  Enjoy the strolling carolers and then pick up the Treasure and discount cards and hit the stores!  Adding to the festivities, many of the participating stores will be offering refreshments and holiday treats.   Also enjoy the Tour of Lights from 6-8pm and remember to drop off a new unwrapped toy for the Toys 4 Tots program for local children at Wrigley Stage.

Avalon retailers are planning some terrific discounts and all shoppers will be able to enter to win prizes.  On Shop At Home Night, each store will have a drawing to give away an in-store gift or gift certificate.  Get your Treasure Card stamped at each of the participating merchants and enter to win reservations for two to the 2009 New Year's Eve Gala.  In addition, there will be a grand prize drawing for an exciting valuable prize on December 29th.  The only way to enter the drawings and receive the discounts is to attend the event.

Shoppers will receive one universal discount card valid at any of the 22 participating Avalon retailers.  The discount card will be available to pick up on Shop At Home Night at any participating store and will be good for 10-30% off all purchases made at any participating store between December 6 and December 24.  Some merchants are offering a larger discount on Shop at Home Night only.  No purchase is necessary to receive the discount card or to enter the in-store drawing.

Be sure to join us for this exciting event on Sunday night, December 6th, and take advantage of many exciting offers and prizes from these stores!
