Thanksgiving Dinners The Whole Family Will Enjoy

AVALON, CATALINA ISLAND - El Galleon Restaurant, Mi Casita Mexican Restaurant and Antonio's Pizzeria & Cabaret are pleased to offer visitors who wish to experience the holiday magic on Catalina Island Special Thanksgiving Dinners on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2009.

Dinner options at EL GALLEON include an Old Fashioned Thanksgiving Dinner with your choice of Fresh Cooked Whole Tom Turkey or Pit Ham with all the traditional fixings or a Catalina Thanksgiving Dinner that includes Turkey, all the fixings and features a Half Local Catalina Lobster fresh from the sea. Each dinner starts with a crisp Dinner Salad with Fresh Baked Sourdough Bread & Butter, and served with House Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes & Giblet Gravy, Candied Yams, Fresh Vegetables and Cranberries.

The Old Fashioned Thanksgiving Dinner is $18.95 adults and $8.95 for children 12 and under and the Catalina Thanksgiving Dinner is $31.95 for adults and children. Prices exclude tax, beverages and gratuity.

Dinner reservations at El Galleon Restaurant are available for Thanksgiving from Noon to 9:00 p.m., with late night desserts, full bar and Karaoke from 9-midnight. Catering is available for parties of 15 or more as well as El Galleon's regular lunch and dinner menu that features steaks, fresh fish, prime rib, live main and local lobster, fresh abalone and applewood smoked BBQ ribs.

MI CASITA, Avalon's authentic Mexican restaurant, is serving a Mexican Thanksgiving meal the whole family will enjoy.  The feast begins with a choice of Albondigas Soup or Salad followed with a dinner of Fresh Whole Roasted Turkey smothered in Pablano Mole Sauce served with Mi Casita Rice, Homemade Sweet Corn Tamales and Crispy Fried Sweet Potato Slices and a choice of Flour or Corn Tortillas. For Dessert enjoy Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with Fresh Made Cajeta Sauce.

Dinner is available from Noon to 9:00 p.m. and reservations are not necessary, except for parties of 8 or more. Dinner for adults is $16.95 and $7.95 for children under 12 (Child's Dinner/ Turkey, Mole, Rice & Ice Cream). Prices exclude tax, beverages and gratuity. Mi Casita's regular menu is also available.
