Hurricane Rick brings an extra Cruise Ship to Catalina Island

AVALON, CATALINA ISLAND - Hurricane Rick, once a Category Five storm off the Mexican Coast, has resulted in an extra cruise ship call this week. The increase brings a total of four cruise ships to Catalina Island this week.
Carnival Paradise was already scheduled to be in port today, October 20.
Sapphire Princess will be calling on Wednesday, October 21 from noon to 6:00 PM. Sapphire Princess carries 2,670 passengers.
Celebrity Cruise Line's Mercury, carrying 1,886 passengers, was already scheduled to be in port on Thursday.
Carnival Cruise Line's Elation (2,052 passengers) is scheduled to visit Avalon this Saturday, October 24.
