Avalon Community Advistory Meeting

AVALON, CATALINA ISLAND - The 4th Community Advisory Meeting will be held Monday June 22, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Topics include all community issues, including public safety, community free space, activities and more.

The Avalon School, Catalina Island Medical Center, C.H.O.I.C.E.S., Santa Catalina Island Company, Catalina Conservancy, and the LA County Sheriff’s Department are supporting open communication and the development of community relationships to find solutions to some of our communities long standing concerns and issues.

All are invited to listen in, ask questions or bring suggestions for the enrichment of our beautiful community.

Buffalo Nickel Restaurant

Located just out of town where the helicopters land, the Buffalo Nickel Restaurant offers Avalon's best Mexican food as well as several other specialities, including pizza and ribs for dinner and sandwiches and burgers for lunch. The locals' favorite restaurant, we feature indoor dining or you can enjoy our outdoor patio with a soothing waterfall. Our full bar features wonderful margaritas and a wide variety of bottled beers. Delivery service available after 5 p.m. or use our shuttle service. Catering and large group facilities available. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and Saturday and Sunday for breakfast.
