Avalon Harbor Office Remodel Begins

AVALON, CATALINA ISLAND - Construction has begun on the remodel and expansion of the City of Avalon Harbor Master's office located on the green pleasure pier. The office will expand nine-feet on the front and five-feet on the backside. The additional area will include a new Harbor Master's office, conference room, lunchroom, an expanded area for the harbor patrolmen to do their logs and a more efficient and user-friendly space for boaters.

All businesses on the pier are open during the construction. There should be no inconveniences to the boating community during the remodel, according to Brian Bray, Avalon Harbor Master. The Harbor Patrol Office has temporarily relocated to a trailer on the pier. The remodel is expected to be be completed by June 15th.
