AVALON, CATALINA ISLAND - Arrrrg! The pirates chanted and the canons sounded at the 19th annual Buccaneer Days in Two Harbors., Catalina Island The annual event is held the first weekend of October. The Isthmus harbor fills with boats flying pirate flags and pirates partying onboard and on shore.
Costume contests, a treasure hunt, an outdoor grill serving up pirate fare, live music and lots of rum round out the event. While there are activities during the day that are geared towards kids, make no mistake that this is a party for adults.

Buffalo Nickel Restaurant

Located just out of town where the helicopters land, the Buffalo Nickel Restaurant offers Avalon's best Mexican food as well as several other specialities, including pizza and ribs for dinner and sandwiches and burgers for lunch. The locals' favorite restaurant, we feature indoor dining or you can enjoy our outdoor patio with a soothing waterfall. Our full bar features wonderful margaritas and a wide variety of bottled beers. Delivery service available after 5 p.m. or use our shuttle service. Catering and large group facilities available. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and Saturday and Sunday for breakfast.
