AVALON, CATALINA ISLAND - "Canon Captures Catalina 2008" brought more than 400 Canon camera owners to Avalon. The annual event, hosted by Canon, is a way to thank their loyal customers. Six photographic workshops were held in various locations through out Avalon.
Motorcycle photography took over Wrigley Stage while swimsuit models posed on Step Beach. Students learned about on-location lighting and techniques while shooting early morning skylines, inside the historic Casino, along the water's edge and other scenic locations. Photographic law and technology classes were also held.
The event included roundtrip boat transportation, all workshops, lunch and a t-shirt.
