Museum Kicks of the Holiday Season with a Series of Special Events
Monday, November 07, 2005 - Catalina Island Museum
On Sunday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m., the Catalina Island Museum will host a special holiday film screening featuring the 1938 version of A Christmas Carol starring Reginald Owen as Ebenezer Scrooge. The 69-minute film is one of the earliest Hollywood adaptations of Dickens' classic tale, and perhaps the closest to the original work. Actress June Lockhart, of TV's Lassie and Lost in Space, made her screen debut as a child in the film alongside her parents Gene and Kathleen. She will be traveling to the Island to personally introduce the film and sign autographs following the screening. Tickets to this once in a lifetime event are $10 for adults and $8 for Museum Members and children under 12.
