Avalon High School parents have begun planning the traditional After Prom Party for 2008. This event is in it's 12th year. This party is a chaperoned alcohol and drug free event immediately following the prom.

The party is planned for Saturday, May 17 from 12:00 midnight to 2:00 a.m. The After Prom Party has become a tradition the students who attend Prom look forward to, providing a safe and supervised environment for finishing their evening. Delicious food and beverages will be served, all free of charge, to the participants. Drawings for door prizes will be held throughout the party.

To make this event a success, your support is needed. The After Prom Party committee is looking for community support in the form of donations, either cash to offset the cost of putting the party on or gift certificates for door prizes. This is a school-sponsored event, so all donations are tax deductible. Please make your check payable to Avalon Schools and memo "After Prom." Donations in the form of gift certificated may also be sent to Avalon Schools, P.O. Box 557, Avalon, CA 90704. Or, you can drop off donations in person at Avalon High School.
