Go around Catalina Island on a whale watch March 16th. See the many Gray Whales, abundant dolphin population, and fascinating wildlife found offshore. Experts from several conservation organizations will describe the island's geography, colorful history, and points of interest.

Aboard the fast and comfortable Catalina Flyer ferry the views are spectacular of undisturbed canyons and vibrant cliffs that dominate her "backside". Sponsored by the non-profit American Cetacean Society's Orange County Chapter, the boat departs Newport Beach at 9:00 a.m., returning at 5:00 p.m. after an hour-long stop in Avalon. Prices: $35 - $75.

If you are already on Catalina, board the Catalina Flyer in Avalon at 10:00 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Bring a lunch and your camera.

Newport Beach departure & arrivals: $35 to $75
Avalon departure/arrivals: $40/person
