The Catalina Island Yacht Club recently donated $3,000 to the Catalina Island Medical Center Foundation. Part of an on-going commitment of support, the donation was presented to Foundation Chairman Rudy Piltch by Bob Herstoff, who is both a board member of the foundation and a former commodore of the yacht club.

"Doctor Bob is a great asset for the foundation," Piltch said. "We appreciate everything he's done and that he plans to do in the future."

Dedicated to supporting the medical center, the foundation is in the midst of its annual fund-raising campaign.
