Book signing at Catalina Pottery Show & Sale

Author Carole Coates will be on hand to sign and personalize books at the Catalina Pottery Show & Sale. She will be signing both her last book Catalina Island Pottery & Tile, Island Treasures,as well as the latest California Revival, Vintage Decor for Today's Homes.

The new book features extensive private collections of vintage Catalina Island Pottery & Tile with innovative decorating and display ideas. Homes and collections on the Island are included as well as indoor and outdoor tile treatments, ironwork, Monterey furniture, and other vintage tile makers.

Carole, a long time Island visitor and avid collector, is curating a museum show in 2008 on Catalina tile and pottery show in Northern California, and will be happy to evaluate and answer any questions you might have about your vintage Island collectibles.

She has a special interest in acquiring historic items and the stories about the people that contributed to these sought after Island wares. She will also be on the Island for consultations for the week following the show. Catalina Island Pottery & Tile is available on eCatalina.com. Carole will be contribute all profits from her book sales to the Museum's new building fund. Don't miss the Catalina Museum's month long special exhibit on historic Catalina Island Pottery & Tile during the entire month of September, with a special reception the evening of September 15th.
