Humane Society at Hoe Down and Health Fair

Catalina Island Humane Society members happily participated in the 2nd Annual Catalina Hoe Down at the Nature Center in Avalon Canyon, which this year proved to be a joyous celebration of our precious Island Community's survival, after the horrific, nearly catastrophic events of last week. At our booth, many Catalina Island Humane Society animal products, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, Guy Pullen sculptures, as well as pet supplies and toys, were featured for purchase.

CIHS also participated at last month's annual community Health Fair at the Catalina Casino, with volunteers distributing informative brochures on pet care and safety, including important information   regarding plants and foods that could be unsafe for pets.

For excellent, detailed information, please visit:
ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center
ASPCA Poison Control Hotline:   (888) 426-4435

The Catalina Island Humane Society wishes thank our volunteers for doing the necessary and wonderful work they do.  Your help is always greatly appreciated!
