Several community members are partnering with the City of Avalon's Recreation Department to start a Baseball Pony League for youth ages 13 - 15. This is a population in our city that does not often get new after-school programs, so everyone involved in this inaugural season is very excited.
Registration to play will begin May 1st. Because this is a brand new league, all new equipment and uniforms will need to be purchased. Any donations for this program are greatly appreciated, as well as sponsorships for individual teams. To raise funds, there will be a 1 Pitch Softball Tournament Sunday, April 22 at the Joe Machado Ballfield from 9am - 6pm. This will be a double elimination tournament and is $30 per player.
