She was assessed and found to have no urgent medical condition. She assured rescuers that her statements of intent to harm her were empty threats directed at her family to alarm them and she had no real aim to hurt herself. She was turned over the Sheriff's deputies who then released her at the scene.

Saturday, March 26 0839 Hrs: (Avalon) Rescue 6 and Avalon Baywatch were called to a home for a report of a person injured in a fall. The rescued girls, ages eight and ten were at the beach unattended by an adult. As they were playing in the water on a boogie board, they got out into water over their heads and fell off the boogie board. Neither of the girls could swim; each girl was pulling the other down in an attempt to stay on the surface. After being pulled from the water, the 10-year-old complained of head pain and was hyperventilating. She was given oxygen and assessed for signs of secondary drowning. Once she calmed down, her condition stabilized and she was released to her father. An excellent job by the beach lifeguard, preventing what could have easily become a tragic situation.
Sunday, March 27 1652 Hrs: (Isthmus) Baywatch Isthmus Lifeguard Paramedics were summoned to the Isthmus pier for a 13-year-old boy who sustained a significant full thickness forehead laceration from a falling rock. Apparently the dislodged rock was sent down the cliff area between the campground and town while friends were climbing the loose shoreline cliffs. The injury was dressed and bandaged and due to the mechanism and severity of the injury, spinal immobilization precautions were taken. Accompanied by a parent, he was transported by the Baywatch rescue boat the CIMC for follow-up care.
