Monday, April 3, 2006 2030 While on routine patrol, officers found a door to a local business unlocked. The owner was notified.

Wednesday, April 5, 2006 0921 The Avalon Harbor Department received a weather bulletin for Small Craft Advisory in effect West winds 15 to 25 knots. Combined seas 9 to 11 feet. Officers raised the red flag to notify mariners of the forecasted condition. 1615 Harbor officers received a report of a missing skiff. Officers searched the harbor and found the skiff adrift. The vessel was returned to the owner. 1630 Harbor officers received a call reporting a woman with a medical condition arriving on a cruise ship tender at a city float. Dispatch was notified, Harbor Baywatch and Fire responded to the incident.
Thursday April 6, 2006 1935 Harbor officers assisted Fish and Game officers towing and securing a vessel to a mooring.
Friday April 7, 2006 1545 Harbor officers received a report of an unattended 24' sailboat on the rocks near Hamilton Cove. The vessel was eased off the rocks and placed on a mooring. Attempts were made to contact the owner. 2020 While on routine patrol, officers observed a skiff in a deteriorated condition with no California registration numbers secured to a city dock. Officers noted that the owner had been warned and advised previously of the violation. A citation was issued to the owner of the vessel regarding these issues.
Saturday, April 8, 2006 0045 While on routine patrol Harbor officers were waved over to a vessel where two men had an altercation. Harbor officers separated the men and requested Sheriffs response. A harbor officer EMT transported one man to be evaluated by Baywatch and Fire crews for injuries sustained. Harbor officers notified the US Coast Guard that the second man involved in the altercation had taken his vessel off the mooring and departed the area. 0900 Avalon Harbor patrol worked with Two Harbors Harbor Patrol and LA County Sheriffs in locating persons from a vessel that had been moored at Two Harbors. The vessel was located moored in Avalon. A man aboard the vessel was interviewed by Sheriffs officers regarding vandalism at Two Harbors. 1100 Harbor officers warned and advised parents of minors observed operating a high powered inflatable boat without adult supervision. 1250 Harbor officers responded to a vessel reported near the rocks in Avalon Harbor. The vessel was located already under tow by a good Samaritan. Officers advised the owner to check the bilge and hull for problems. 1715 While on routine patrol, Harbor officers observed damage to the starboard side of a motor vessel. The owner of the vessel was contacted and notified of the observation. Because no one was aboard the vessel lines were adjusted and fenders deployed by harbor personnel.
