The Catalina Artists' Market in the El Encanto Marketplace is Avalon's newest Fine Art Gallery. Owner, David Zeller's vision for supporting Catalina Artists is realized in this spectacular Gallery. We are proud to feature a variety of local Artists in various mediums. Plein Air Artists Denise Burns, Silvio Silvestri, Roderick Smith and Danny Peterson are complimented by local favorites such as Porschia Denning, Tim Mitchell, Drew Mauck and Jason Greene. The Gallery is a warm, inviting space filled with an eclectic blend of styles.

The gallery officially opened during the 2005 Christmas "Shop at Home Night" celebration and has quickly become the home of many Island Artists.  "Art, Style, Creativity and Community are primary with running a local Artists' Market" states Drew Mauck, Gallery Director. "Honoring Artists and knowing how to display their work is paramount."

Separated into three areas, the Catalina Artists' Market is an elegantly designed atmosphere full of form and function. The main gallery is warm and enchanting with custom designed hanging spaces and lighting along with beautiful tile floors. Here, you can view Art from any one of more than 20 local and Catalina Island inspired Artists in different styles and mediums.  In the main gallery, you will also find our Select Artists' Reserve. This supply center is stocked with the highest quality paints, brushes, canvas' palettes, easels and more. Beginners will also find helpful starter kits and teaching tools.  Local Artists are invited to participate in the Select Reserve Discount Program.

Our Exhibit Hall is a small, charming space utilized by the gallery to spotlight works by featured Artists. It also opens into the popular coffee house, Courtyard Coffee. Courtyard Coffee is a local favorite with Island musicians and artists. It adds to the artesian excitement that is returning to the El Encanto Marketplace. The Exhibit Hall is also used for Photo Sessions, Digital Reproductions, Portrait Photography and more.

The Catalina Artists' Market also specializes in Custom Digital Design and Development. These services include Photo and Giclee Printing, Studio Quality Reproductions, Graphic Design and Artist Marketing. We use the latest Nine Ink Epson Inkjet printers, top of the line Fuji Digital Cameras, the highest quality photo papers and the best digital development software.

El Encanto Marketplace has a rich and artistic history on Catalina Island. Our goal is to create the Artisan Atmosphere that was enjoyed by Islanders in the past.  El Encanto Marketplace, The Catalina Artists' Market and Courtyard Coffee will participate and play host to monthly and annual events like the popular "Artists Market". Live music, outdoors workshops, Artist exhibitions, kiosk space, food and fun will all return to the El Encanto, lead by the Catalina Island Artists themselves.
