Save the date to attend a memorial event to celebrate the life of Dr. Robert "Bob" Given, 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, May 3rd at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, 3720 Stephen M. White Drive in San Pedro. Those planning on attending are encouraged to bring their favorite "Bob" stories, photos or slides to be shared during the evening.

If you thought you heard the sounds of opera coming from the Casino last Saturday night, it wasn't the heat - it was a surprise for the 530 Island residents, and guests from all over the Southland, and even from out of state, who attended the 13th Annual Catalina Island Conservancy Ball.
