 Catalina Island Museum    

Catalina Island Museum Located on the ground floor of the Casino Building in Avalon, the Catalina Island Museum explores the Island's rich cultural heritage. Permanent exhibits illustrate unique elements of Catalina's history including its evolution as a resort community, its role as the Chicago Cubs Spring Training venue, its links to Hollywood, and its prominence in the decorative tile and pottery industry. Docent led, tile walking tours are offered at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays (reservations required). The Museum is open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. seven days a week (closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day). Admission is $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for seniors and $2.00 for children (6-15).
